Description:

This map has a cavernous/Acidic theme with a twist of mechanical outer rooms. There are quite a few details loaded into this map so be sure to look everywhere when you open the level up. Spawn locations have been placed everywhere within the map there are quite a few of them to offer the player a better chance at surviving when he/she spawns. All of the stock weapons have been added, minus the bone club.

If you look closely you’ll also notice there are some ‘helish’ looking wall mounts, approx. as high as your player. These are activation switches used to trigger the Rune of Power, which is located in the main playing area within a gated cave (West side of the map bottom level) Once both activation switches have been activated the gate will be opened and the Rune of Power will be created. The gate will remain open for a set time. After that the switches will remain activated until a re-trigger time has been counted down. Then the process will start again. The Rune of blood lust can be found by pulling the lever next to the acid pool beside the acid stream. This is a large map but finding things that your player can use is quite easy. Their are plenty of usable features close to any point you are at in the map.

Also if you look around enough you’ll find something I put in all of my maps. DragonBreath is a little pissed off in this map so be a bit careful…This map took quite a bit longer then any other of my maps approx. a month of night work. I originally drew the map on paper and then started to work with the Editor. There was quite a bit of scrapped items I didn’t like which were deleted to save on map space. Currently it’s close to 4 MB. Anyways, I hope you enjoy the map! Thanks for downloading it.

Description:

This map was an attempt at making a clash of two different themes and make it playable. It’s the smallest map I’ve made yet and by the play testing it looks like it will be fast paced and brutal. I also tried an idea about sound playability where you can use the sounds in the game to help locate where other gamers might be. I read a comment from Lobo somewhere on this idea and other maps take advantage of it. (Hildir most notably. Hope it works…)

DM-Hel2k4:

Game: Rune
Released: November 2003
Version: v1.0 Release
Installation: Place this .run file into the Rune/Maps directory

Description:

In this map I again expanded upon the ‘Hel’ series for Rune multiplayer and put my own twist into the creation. This map is smaller and more compact then Hel2k3 and should offer a fast paced brutal game.  Items available to the player in this map include: Three Rune of Power Refills, Three Rune of Strength Refills, Two Health Runes, One Rune of Strength, All Axes/Hammers and all swords with the exception of the DwarfBattleSword. I hope you enjoy the Blood lust leap of faith. A hint if you are stuck on it…If you jump when the pendulums are closing about half way you will make it no problems.

DM-Hel2k3:

Game: Rune
Released: March 2003
Version: v1.0 Release
Installation: Place this .run file into the Rune/Maps directory

Download: –>DM-Hel2k3<–

Description:

This map was created in line with the other ‘Hel’ maps for Rune. I thought that I would add my own twist to the series. It has some areas that are reactive to your placement within the room maybe you will catch the aesthetic effects. It consists of 5 main playing zones with the vertical part of the game factored into most of the areas.
